Night and Day
These shapes have been made from sheets of paper, that were folded and shaped and then flattened and printed a number of times to create these collograph prints.
I like the fact that the one on the the left now looks like a snake or lizard skin and in some areas, when you hold it up to the light, you can see pinprick holes from where it has been worn down.
I like the texture. There are ribbons of paint that sit on top of the folds and in the corners and as I use oil based block printing inks, it feels like a kind of oilskin or waxed cloth.
I like looking at them and playing with them. I just have no idea what to do with them.
So for today, here they are, and I hope that you enjoy looking at them too.
